Started climbing at The New in about 1985. So bizarre, Rick Thompson and Porter Jarrad show up and we had just lead Fourth of July Crack, 5.10C and pulled the rope. Porter said, "there is a great TR here that's about 12a, but I'll set a rope for you, so he borrows some shoes and ties the rope around his waist and soloes up to the chains, unties the rope, and reties it on his waist, then has us lower him!!! Shit you knot!! It was about 80-100 feet!! Leave a Reply. |
